AEW CARNAGE RESULTS FOR SEPT. 23

  • Carnage kicks off with Sting & Darby Allin versus House of Black (Brody King & Buddy Matthews) in a no disqualification match.
  • Sting and Darby Allin defeat House of Black. The heels had the advantage when Sting was pushed off the rope and through an outside table. Julia Hart cuffed Sting’s hands behind her back. Darby did an insane Coffin Drop on Buddy from the top of a structure near the entrance ramp. Brody and Darby crashed through a table together, knocking themselves out. Matthews came back to the ring and grabbed Sting’s baseball bat. Sting was still handcuffed in the ring but laughing his head off. Just as Buddy was about to knock, the lights went out. The Great Muta comes out! He spat the green mist in Buddy’s face. Sting frees himself from the handcuffs and puts Buddy away with the Scorpion Death Drop.
  • Sting and Muta kiss after the game.
  • HOOK and Action Bronson defeat Matt Menard and Angelo Parker. Bronson performed HOOK’s theme song live as they entered. The stock wasn’t taking any bumps, so HOOK did all the selling for his team. Bronson’s offense consisted mostly of running shoulder tackles, with a clothesline and body slam mixed in. HOOK and Brosnon win with Redrum stereo submissions over Menard & Parker.
  • Wardlow and Samoa Joe defeat Tony Nese and Josh Woods. Wardlow dominated Woods early on, but appeared to injure his knee when the pair toppled on the outside. Samoa Joe then took care of Tony Nese for Muscle Buster’s arrival.
  • The Heels attack Joe after the game. Wardlow returns to the ring to make the save. Mark Sterling tries to attack him from behind, but to no avail. Joe feeds Sterling straight into Wardlow’s powerbomb symphony.
  • Jungle Boy defeats Rey Fenix. These guys fought through multiple commercial breaks. In the final part of the fight, Fenix tried to land the Three Amigos series suplex, but Jungle countered the third. Fenix came back with a Frog Splash, but was too exhausted to capitalize for a timely pin attempt. Rey blasted him into the air with a powerful overhead move, but Boy rolled and trapped Rey in a small package for the win.
  • Christian came out during Jungle’s celebration. As Boy was distracted by her presence, Luchasaurus ambushed him from behind. Christian grabbed the mic and said shit about the New York crowd. He focuses on Boy and brags about crushing him at All Out. He said that even though Jungle pulled out his right arm, Luchasaurus is his right hand of destruction. Christian orders Luchasaurus to end Jungle Boy right away. This leads to a thundering chokeslam.
  • There will be a Jericho Appreciation Championship celebration next week on Dynamite. Chris Jericho explains to Daniel Garcia that they are both champions, so it’s for both of them.
  • Sammy Guevara defeats Eddie Kingston by annulment of the arbitrator’s decision. Guevara apologized to Kingston before the bell for not calling him a big jerk earlier. At the end of the match, Eddie took down Sammy with three straight backfists. He encased Sammy’s limp body in the Stretch Plum and the match was called for Kingston. However, Eddie was off balance and refused to break the hold despite pleas from AEW officials. As a result, high-ranking official Paul Turner decided to revere the decision in favor of Sammy. Eddie snapped and attacked ring security. Jerry Lynn tried to talk sane to her.
  • Jade Cargill defeats Diamante to retain the TBS Championship. It didn’t take long for Cargill to use Jaded to take the win and improve their record to 38-0. Trina enters the ring and slaps Diamante on the mat. She shakes hands with Cargill and celebrates with her.
  • Hangman Page wins the Golden Ticket Battle Royal. Page ran into it early on when he was ambushed on his way in by The Butcher, The Blade, and RUSH. The Dark Order ran out to even things out. The ring was filled and the match officially began after a commercial break. Danhausen attempted to curse QT Marshall, then teamed up with Hangman to take him down. Best Friends worked together to get rid of Jake Hager. Dalton Castle was saved from elimination by The Boys, then used his second chance to eliminate Brian Cage. Castle was dumped by Daniel Garcia shortly thereafter. Lance Archer eliminated Trent Beretta. The Butcher and The Blade attempted to take out Private Party, but Matt Hardy came to their defense. Hardy threw The Blade. The Butcher and RUSH then got rid of Hardy, Party and Evil Uno. Hangman got involved and got rid of Butcher. RUSH threw John Silver. Penta and Archer went for it, which led to Archer being eliminated. Penta threw Jay Lethal, but Satnam Singh grabbed him and put him back in the ring. Penta was then eliminated after lethal injection. Hangman throws Lethal over the rope away from Singh to get rid of him. Page and RUSH are the last two men remaining. Hangman saved himself from a near elimination on the ring apron, then hit RUSH with Dead Eye to eliminate him and win.
  • Ricky Starks defeats Powerhouse Hobbs in a Lights Out match. Hobbs took the lead late with a low kick to prevent Starks from landing a chair shot. Starks comes back with his own low blow. Starks hangs on the edge of two chairs set back to back with a violent impact. Hobbs bombs Starks into a few chairs for a near fall. Hobbs rips a light fixture from the stage set, seeking to use it as a weapon. He swings and misses, and Starks comes right back by spearing him through a table in the corner. Starks cracks Hobbs’ skull with the luminary and follows up with Roshambo for the win.
  • It’s the end of the show, friends!
