Former stars of The Real Housewives of New York are reacting to the news of Bravo’s plan to reboot the franchise, while also bringing some named back for a spin-off.
Bethenny Frankel and Dorinda Medley are the latest ex-Housewives to give their opinion, as it’s revealed some will be invited back for a separate show, with a working title RHONY: Throwback.
Rather than the spill the tea herself, Bethenny, 51, chose to give her thoughts on a TikTok where she lip synced along to audio with the caption: ‘My opinion on the #RHONY reboot…’
Tellingly, Bethenny mouths: ‘It’s a long story and it’s very f***ing boring,’ adding, ‘Jesus. Like, f***.’

Fans then flooded the star with comments begging her to come back to the show after teasing them with the TikTok.
Meanwhile on her SiriusXM show Make It Nice With Dorinda Medley, Dorinda praised the decision about the shake-up and potential return of ex-Housewives.
‘So I think Andy, Andy Cohen you made it nice and you got it right on this one,’ she said.
‘I am very excited and I heard some women in the cast are not so excited. And they are not quite sure what it means. But for me, I’ve been on pause for two years, so I’m like ‘now you are all on pause with me.’
RHONY shake-up! Iconic series to be rebooted with a NEW CAST as Bravo searches for a more diverse group of Housewives… but past stars will be invited back for a spin-off show
Dorinda continued: ‘So I am just going to keep it rolling, I don’t have to do anything now. I don’t even have to give those interviews any more. Now when they say “Do you think you are ever going to…” am going to say “listen, whoa, whoa, whoa the legacy is coming up, I don’t know. We’ll see. Let’s see if I make the legacy.” Which I hope I do, because I am the queen of making it nice, not well b***h, clip, two martinis not three…’
Interestingly, a DailyMail.com poll reveals that fans of the show are most excited for Dorinda and Bethenny to return, as well as Carole Radziwill.
Radziwill, 58, led the pack in a poll asking DailyMail.com readers who they wanted to cast in the upcoming spin-off with 32% of the vote, Frankel came in second with 15% of voters selecting her, and Medley followed at third with 13% of the vote.
Specifically, 719 people voted Radziwill as their favorite, 330 voted for Bethenny, and 283 selected Dorinda.
Coming back? Some of the original stars could be making a comeback on a spin-off show (Pictured: Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, LuAnn de Lesseps, Alex McCord, and Bethenny Frankel)
Long-time veteran Ramona Singer came in fourth with 11% of the vote and Sonja Morgan followed close behind with 8%.
Radziwill addressed the poll on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday where she joked Bravo was ‘not gonna be happy’ by the results.
‘So Daily Mail ran a poll asking fans who they want back & you’ll never believe who’s in the lead… LOL. @BravoTV is not gonna be happy. But I was always good at elections,’ she wrote.
Carole was on RHONY from 2012 to 2018, Bethenny was on the show on-off from 2008 to 2019, while Dorinda was fired from the show after six seasons in 2020.
The poll comes after Andy Cohen revealed a RHONY spin-off featuring past beloved stars with the working title of either ‘RHONY Throwback’ or ‘RHONY: Legacy’ in an interview with Variety.
Cohen also revealed Bravo would be rebooting and completely recasting The Real Housewives Of New York City after 13 seasons.
The network is said to be searching for a more diverse group of friends who best reflect one of the most multi-cultural cities in America.
It comes after the most recent season saw declining ratings, and did not receive the all-important reunion episode.
The current line-up of stars are Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney, and Eboni K. Williams. These Housewives will not be in the new reboot.
Cohen, 53, said the two-part strategy ‘takes into account everything that our passionate audience has really been telling us over the last year,’ and will involve ‘rebooting and recasting’ the series from scratc
