At the Forrester mansion, Thomas intones, “I’m serious, Brooke. Keep it up,” while holding the apple knife. Brooke thinks that sounds like a threat. Thomas promises that she will never interfere with his father’s life or family again.

At the cliff house, Taylor and Ridge are nearby as she flashes on the kiss in Monaco. She says Monte Carlo confuses her. She doesn’t want to force anything anyway. If they’re meant to be together, then they’re gonna be together. Ridge smiled, “Is that true?” Taylor thinks he should open his eyes – what he’s fighting for there doesn’t make him happy. “Is this what you want for the rest of your life?”

Nikki Newman arrives at Forrester and is greeted enthusiastically by Eric, who introduces her to Steffy and Hope, who are in the office with him.

Eric takes Nikki to show her the dress they designed for his granddaughter Summer’s vow renewal. She squirts on the garment and Steffy apologizes to Ridge for not being able to. Nikki looks at pictures of Ridge with his children and Steffy notices that he adores his family. Nikki asks how Steffy is doing after the shooting. Steffy says they are fine, despite the hell Sheila Carter put them through.

At Deacon’s, Sheila tries to watch his stories, but he keeps pacing. He complains that they both live there – he doesn’t know how long this can go on!

At Forrester, Nikki points out how Sheila Carter was an evil and destructive force in Los Angeles and Genoa City. Eric says, “’was’ being the key word. She is dead now. Nikki tells Steffy that she would like to meet Finn one day. Hope says he’s good with the kids – they all adore him. Nikki thinks of Sheila giving birth to someone so wonderful. Eric reminds her again that Sheila is gone.

At Deacon’s, he reminds Sheila that one mistake could land them both in jail. He refers to his insane dream and Sheila plays dumb, but he tells her that she knows full well what he is talking about.

Taylor arrives at the Forrester mansion, where Thomas wraps her in a hug. He remarks that she is watching him “too” then apologizes. Taylor learns that Brooke was there and calls him crazy again.

At Brooke’s, she and Ridge kiss. She tells him she needed it. He says, “Me too.” She asks about her meeting with Nikki Newman. Ridge says his dad does that. Brooke says she went to see Thomas. Ridge moans – why does she do these things? She’s just worried that Douglas is in Thomas’ custody.

At Forrester, Nikki tells Eric that the dress is beautiful and that Summer will be a knockout. “The cut, the neckline, it’s just beautiful.” Eric did the length and seams. Nikki teases that the couture is inspired. Steffy asks if she’s going back to Genoa City now. Nikki has a save to make first.

Deacon tells Sheila in the apartment that her fantasy of reuniting with Finn and Hayes cannot come true. She is a mother and grandmother, and no one is going to take that away from her! Deacon says he has to go to work, and she complains about being left there staring at the four walls. As she slams into the bedroom, Deacon wonders how this came to be like a real marriage. He takes a small package from his jacket pocket and looks at it thoughtfully.

At the Forrester mansion, Thomas tells Taylor that Brooke was confronting him about having participated in Steffy’s interference and questioning his ability to become a parent. Taylor scoffs at this given Brooke’s parental background. Thomas thinks the knife set it off. He explains that he was peeling an apple with a knife, and it seemed to trigger her – she accused him of being a danger to her own son.

At Brooke’s, she tells Ridge that she fears Douglas is safe with Thomas. Ridge protests and she gives him a look. He asks, “What is that look? What do you know?” Brooke announces, “He had a knife. Around Douglas. I’m worried about that, Ridge. Thomas is scaring me.

At Forrester, Steffy and Hope agree that it was nice to see Nikki, who has good energy about her. Hope wants to get back to the fact that Steffy hung up on her mother and refuses to let her talk to Ridge. Families have split up. Steffy wouldn’t say that. Hope recaps that she’s trying not to start a custody war and asks her father to leave Brooke for Taylor. Steffy says time is running out; it’s just a matter of time. Brooke is the last person she would want for her father. She tried not to interfere when her mom was away but she’s back now and they’re reconnecting. Who wouldn’t want their parents to get back together? “I will do whatever it takes to make it happen, Hope.”

At the Forrester mansion, Thomas complains that Brooke likes to put her own spin on things and paint him in the worst possible light. Taylor protests that Douglas is safe with him – he’s done so much work to turn his life around. He jokes, “Not according to Brooke.” He was sure to let her know that when he was wrong, it was her fault. He will protect their family from her at all costs.

At Brooke’s, she repeats that she doesn’t feel Douglas is safe and complains that Thomas hasn’t brought the child home. She would call child protective services on Thomas if she had to. Ridge tells him to slow his roll. Thomas is his son, and they will take care of him like a family. If there’s a knife on her mind, he’ll go get it. Douglas is loved, happy and safe. They kiss, but Brooke doesn’t seem convinced.

At Il Giardino, Nikki tells Deacon, “Let’s make it short and sweet.” Deacon is going to get what he has on Diane Jenkins. As Nikki looks around, Sheila appears in disguise. Deacon comes back, hands the package to Nikki, and says he hopes it helps. He tells her that he respects her and that she looks good. As they walk out, Nikki spots Sheila and looks directly at her. Sheila looks away and Nikki walks out. Sheila gives Deacon a surprised look.

At the cliff house, Taylor tells Steffy that she will never believe what Brooke says about her brother. Steffy gasps, “Oh no.”

After: How far will Steffy go?!?

At the office, Ridge notices that Thomas is distracted. His son says he has a lot on his mind. Ridge guesses that’s the thing with Brooke and asks what happened. Thomas complains that she doesn’t believe he’s changed at all and freaked out about him eating an apple with a knife. Ridge says she mentioned the knife and said she would call child services if she had to. Thomas gapes, “What?!?”

At Forrester’s engineering office, Brooke knows that Hope wants to believe that Thomas is a better father, but that’s not the case. “I saw, I was there,” she insists. Hope asks what she saw. Brooke went to Eric’s to tell Thomas to please take Douglas home. Hope sighs, “Mom…” Brooke insists she’s worried and that Thomas is dangerous. “He had a knife. Hope gapes, “What?” Brooke repeats that he had a very sharp knife. “Douglas should not be in his care. I’m really worried about this little boy!
