Jeremy Renner shares hospital recovery video after snow plow accident

Actor Jeremy Renner underwent two surgeries at a Nevada hospital after being seriously injured in a ‘tragic’ snow removal accident.

The Injured locker The star is ‘conscious, stable and talking’ and is said to have undergone the surgery as part of her ‘long road to recovery’.

“We can confirm that Jeremy suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and underwent surgery today (January 2),” Renner’s family said in their initial statement. “He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in a critical but stable condition.”

At a press conference on Tuesday, Jan. 3, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam described how a family member was driving Renner’s car when it got stuck in the snow.

“He went to get his PistenBully or SnowCat — extremely bulky snow removal equipment — to drive his vehicle forward,” Balaam said. “After moving the vehicle from the blocked spot, Mr Renner got out of the PistenBully to speak to a family member and he started driving.

“He attempted to try and get into the driver’s seat of the PistenBully, which is when he was knocked down by the PistenBully.”

The plow accidentally rolled over one of the actor’s legs, despite a wide array of safety devices, resulting in significant blood loss, a neighbor said.

In his first post since the crash, Renner shared a selfie from his hospital bed with the caption, “Thank you all for your kind words. I’m [sic] too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.

What was Renner doing when he was injured?

There have been various reports of what exactly Renner was doing before he was run over by the snow plow.

But, according to Sheriff Balaam’s Tuesday, Jan. 3, press conference, Renner was a “great neighbor” and cleared the houses around him of snow.

Then, at some point, the actor went to retrieve his personal vehicle driven by a family member, which had become stuck in the snow.

Once he managed to tow his vehicle from its blocked location, he got out of the PistenBully to speak to a family member when the PistenBully started rolling.

According to the ongoing investigation, “it was at this time that Mr. Renner was run over by the Pistenbully. An eyewitness said he saw Mr. Renner get into the PistenBully and did not see him again until the PistenBully came to rest in a pile of snow in front of his driveway”.

What are the police investigating?

Police say the investigation into Renner’s accident is ongoing.

At Sheriff Balaam’s press conference on Tuesday, Jan. 3, he said they were doing what they normally would after any major accident.

At the moment, the PistenBully is in their possession while they analyze it to “rule out any mechanical faults” that could have caused it to start rolling.

However, they do not suspect ‘foul play’ and believe it was simply a ‘tragic’ incident.
