Kelli Giddish Sends Message to SVU Fans Ahead of Final Episode as Rollins

‘Law and Order: SVU’: Rollins and Carisi Wedding – Recap

Finally, Law and Order: SVUDominic “Sonny” Carisi and Amanda Rollins are husband and wife. Festive Zeppole all around!

Sadly, ‘Rollisi”s blessed union also marks Kelli Giddish’s last SVU episode. So it’s a bittersweet affair for fans of the couple – as well as for Captain Benson, who spends part of the episode in or near tears and the other part deepening his feelings for Stabler.

We open to Rollins and Carisi in bed, their alarm goes off. They cuddle and talk about the deal of the week — Elias Olsen, that guy from the start of the season who had the girls in his basement, is going to go on trial — but I’m distracted by Carisi’s amazing bed. Then the girls arrive, all excited about Christmas, and I almost exhale from domestic bliss.

Before you know it, Carisi gives up preparing Muncy for cross-examination because he’s rushing to court. Benson, Fin, and Velasco meet him there, wondering what the emergency is. And that’s when Rollins walks into a white dress with puff sleeves (#AnneOfGreenGablesRepresent!), holding a simple bouquet.

There’s some very awkward dialogue about how marriage is like a crime (honestly, WHAT?), but Amanda and Sonny are beaming, and that makes up for a lot. “We didn’t want to do this without any of you here,” the bride says as Liv hugs her and Fin teases their boss about getting verklempt. “Sir, are you ready to start the longest impeachment of your life?” the judge asks Carisi (you know what I mean?!), and the ceremony begins.

Then everyone goes to the restaurant to celebrate. When Liv wonders where Mama Carisi is, he tells her that her mother is planning a big party. Yes No ? Except later we learn that Rollins still hasn’t informed Benson of his intention to leave the team. Eventually, she calls the captain to let him know…but wanders off because Liv is staying at a motel where someone is apparently checking in guests in their rooms without their knowledge?! Rollins says Carisi is busy preparing for the trial and the girls are at her mother’s house, so she’ll come upstairs the next morning.

law-and-order-svu-rollins-carisi-recap-wedding-season-24-episode-9Why is Liv in a dirty motel, you ask? Because, via a pedigree, Noah found out he had a half-brother named Connor who lives out of town, and they went there to meet him and his family. Connor’s adoptive parents seem terrific – and because years of watching this show have turned me into a suspicious Sally, I immediately assume they’re running a sex slave ring out of their basement. Which is why I’m shocked when Liv reluctantly agrees to let Noah have a slumber party with his new brother while she spends the night in the accommodation she had booked for them.

Rollins arrives the next morning, and she and Liv’s investigation take them to a bar to drink beers and flirt with the guy they believe set up the cameras in the motel. (Does that make any sense? Yeah, I’m right here with you. Sounds…blatant at best?) They get him drunk and take him back to Liv’s room, where he thinks there’s going to be some sexy times to three. But he balks when Liv starts taking off his belt, which is their clue that he knows what’s going on. And just like that, the local police handcuffed him in the back of a car and that was it! It’s time for the girl’s wine-in-a-box party!

law-and-order-svu-rollins-carisi-recap-wedding-season-24-episode-9As Rollins and Benson drink and hang out on the bed, they discuss Rollins’ happiness as the new Mrs. Carisi, prompting Amanda to ask about Olivia’s feelings about her former partner. “I felt like Stabler was my home. But he left me, Amanda, and I can’t get over it,” she says. She adds that things were almost easier when Kathy was alive. “With her gone, it’s like there are only possibilities. It’s paralyzing. »

Eventually, Rollins gets to the reason she went to speak with her boss in person: she’s probably going to quit the team and take a new job. “I made that choice, and I need you to be okay with that,” she says, but Liv is NOT. The next morning, Rollins leaves without telling Benson.

When Liv goes to pick up Noah, Connor’s family also gave her a PlayStation 5 and a present for her. And back in Manhattan, Carisi laments that Liv wasn’t excited for Amanda, but he confirms with her that she’s taking Fordham’s job: “My wife, the professor. It sounds good.

In the end, Rollins shows up at Benson’s office and they reconcile. “I’m so sorry I reacted like that. You were open with me, and I closed,” Liv says. “You’re not losing me,” Rollins reassures her. “We’re friends. This will not change. I will not disappear. (It’s very hard, episode writers.) They hug in tears, which turns into sobbing. “Don’t put off the joy,” Liv says. Then she tells Rollins that she loves him and Amanda walks into the team room to cheer them on and kiss them goodbye from her co-workers.
