Liverpool’s interest in Coman has confirmed
Liverpool actively monitors Bayern Munich Kingsley Coman’s winger, according to a report by journalist Christian Falk in the German store Bild. The 28 -year -old Frenchman has become the “Bayern number one sales candidate this summer, while the club seeks to reshape his team and generate funds.
“Liverpool is actually interested in him,” said Falk. “Coman is on the restricted list. It is not yet to the point where there are still negotiations or offers, but they monitor his situation, especially after he is the number one sales candidate in Bayern. Not because they do not appreciate it, but because they can see him report money.”
Although it was contracted until 2027, the future of Coman in Munich seems uncertain. Vincent Kompany has not completed himself on him, and the problems of persistent injury limited his availability – the problems of which Liverpool is wary.

Versatility and rhythm make Coman a tempting adjustment
Falk was clear about the reasons why Liverpool and others turn: “Yes, of course, this is one of the considerations,” he said about the history of Coman’s injuries. “But of course, with his high speed, he would integrate very well. He enters on the left, but he can actually play them all. So it would be interesting for the team.”
This versatility is a key point. Coman could compete on the Liverpool front line, in particular as an alternative or possible successor of Luis Díaz, while being able to overcome right if necessary – potentially softening the burden of Mo Salah, despite the recent extension of the Egyptian contract.
The interest of the Premier League warmed up
Coman is not only a Liverpool target. Arsenal and Tottenham would also be interested. Florian Prettenberg reports that Arsenal can turn their attention to Coman after failing to land Leroy Sane. Spurs also follow the situation, in the hope of capitalizing on the will of Bayern to sell.
The costs could be relatively modest given the Coman Pedigree – the previous reports suggest that it could be available for 30 million euros (26 million pounds sterling). This price could be attractive to Liverpool, especially if the club considers it a strategic addition under the new head coach Arne Slot.
Wages and injury recordings complicate things
However, concerns persist – and they are valid. Coman fought against several muscle injuries during his career. This, combined with apparent wages, creates natural hesitation. For a player who has not taken a coherent form in recent seasons, the Liverpool recruitment team will have to weigh the risks compared to the award.
However, Bayern would have prioritized its sale – and Coman itself would be open to a move for a regular playing time – the parts could still be set up.
Our point of view – Analysis of the Anfield index
For all its flair, there is a reason why Bayern is happy to enjoy Kingsley Coman. And although it is tempting to think of bombing the wing of Anfield, it is difficult not to feel skeptical.
First, his injury record is a red flag. We have already been burned by signing the players with poor availability. You just have to ask anyone who remembers the career of Liverpool of Stop-Start of Naby Keita. Coman figures are solid – 69 goals and 69 assists in 328 games – but that is more than eight years. In a league as intense as the Premier League, can it remain in shape long enough to justify the investment?
Second, its wages would be up to the sky. If he awaits high -level wages, you imagine that Liverpool will hesitate, in particular with Salah always at the club and demand the superior support. Coman could adapt to the system, but it does not correspond to the financial profile that we have seen under FSG – even with locations in search of a different attack balance.
Yes, his talent is real. Yes, his pedigree winner of the Champions League is attractive. But at 28, with doubts of injury and salary requests, this could turn into another risky dice roll. If it is a real option, Liverpool fans have the right to be careful.
