There’s love in the air for Lupita Nyong’o and Selema Masekela!
The ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ star and TV host announced their relationship Friday with adorable Instagram posts.
“We’re just clicking!” 💘 @selema #thisismylove #nuffsaid,” Nyong’o, 39, captioned an Instagram reel of the new couple snapping in unison as their outfits changed to the tune of “The King’s Affirmation (Chill Mix)” of Iniko with Reuel Williams.
Masekela, 51, shared the same video but used his own caption.
“The hearts are synchronized. My full and real love @lupitanyongo. ❤️❤️❤️#outkickedthecoverage 😉,” he gushed.
The lovebirds appear to be on vacation, as their outfits have changed from matching paisley dresses to matching cheetah print swimsuits. They’ve also rocked three stylish ensembles that complement each other.
The couple’s celebrity friends couldn’t contain their excitement.
“Obsessed 😍😍,” musician Janelle Monáe commented on the Oscar winner’s post, while “Black-ish” star Tracee Ellis Ross added, “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
The streamer’s upload also received a lot of love, with R&B singer Kehlani exclaiming, “Wooooowwwww I LOVE THISSSSSSS BROOOO.”
“Congrats buddy. You deserve it 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼,” Pink’s husband Carey Hart remarked, while “Fuller House” alum Jodie Sweetin commented, “Okay…the dance. The looks .That’s it 🔥🔥🔥.
Fellow media personality Jason Kennedy also gave the romance his thumbs up, writing, “I’m here for it 😍.”
Nyong’o – who has denied dating rumors involving Michael B. Jordan and Jared Leto separately in the past – is known for keeping her love life a secret because “privacy is a hard commodity to come by”.
“Filming takes so long. And intense,” the actress told Vogue UK in December 2019. “With ‘Black Panther’, a lot of us were single. In ‘Little Monsters’, no one was single.
“Everyone – when they’re done with their day’s work – wants to go home to their family, which makes perfect sense,” she added. “When you don’t have that, it’s very isolating.”
Originally from New York, Masekela is the son of South African jazz musician Hugh Masekela. As a sports journalist, he covered the Winter X Games for ESPN and the Summer Olympics for NBC.
