Prince Harry’s local bookshop has revealed it has only sold around 30 copies of the royal Spare’s controversial autobiography.
The bombshell tome, which bagged Harry, 38, a rumored £16m ($20m) advance, sold well – becoming the best-selling non-fiction book since the start of the recordings, according to his publisher.

The owner of local Tecolote Book Shop, Mary Sheldon, told the Guardian she had only sold around 30 copies of Spare since its release.

Describing Spare as “it’s a book”, Mary added that other copies have been reserved by locals, who plan to pick up their copy in person.
She said of Prince Harry: “He took the time to put his thoughts together and wanted to publish it, so I’m here to sell it.”
The autobiography has sold 750,000 copies in all formats – print, audio and e-book – in the UK since its publication on January 10.
That makes it the best-selling memoir of all time for its first week of publication, according to publishers Transworld, the UK division of Penguin Random House.

Official Nielsen BookData figures showed the book, which was penned by famed ghostwriter JR Moehringer, sold 467,183 copies in print in its first week alone.
Data released by Nielsen shows the book broke the previous record of 210,506 set by the debut cookbook Pinch Of Nom – written by Kay Allinson – in 2019.
Although the memoir was leaked in Spain before the official release date, Nielsen data suggests sales were not negatively affected.
