Relationship guru Derrick Jaxn files for divorce after being spotted in Miami with mystery woman

The couple who inspired hundreds of Internet parodies and Halloween costumes have officially called it quits. Self-certified relationship guru Derrick Jaxn has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife Da’Nai Jackson, who recently cursed those who criticized their marriage. The news comes shortly after Jaxn was seen partying in Miami with an unidentified woman.

According to Bossip, after media personality Tasha K posted video footage of the new couple, Jaxn felt it necessary to share the truth about their marital status on social media.

“Over the past few months, my family and I have gone through a lot of changes,” Jaxn begins. “Some of you speculated while others reached out to offer your support as we privately establish this new normal for ourselves and our beautiful children.

Earlier this year, after much prayer, counseling and deep reflection, we decided to separate and filed for divorce. Making the decision to file a case was one of the hardest decisions of my life, but I have found peace knowing that our mission to raise healthy children, starting with healthy, whole parents , is still in progress.

From falling in love as a teenager, to becoming spouses and now co-parents, I’m grateful for the years we spent together and wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world. I was blessed to have such an amazing person in my life and I will always be grateful for everything she means to our family.

While those words about his former partner sound pretty sweet, many wonder if Da’Nai knew about the split. Last month, Jackson posted a video on Instagram warning viewers to stay out of his wedding.

“Let your husbands and wives become widows. Let your children become fatherless. Let your seeds roam the earth,” she spat. “Let the words of your mouth and the words of your hands be returned to you. Let it descend into your throat and slowly choke you until your days become few on earth. She continued, “The word of God says touch, not my anointed, and do no harm to my profits. You have been warned.”

If you recall, the couple rocked the internet last year when Jaxn, who advocates healthy relationships and is the author of several books on the subject, was caught up in an infidelity scandal. He later admitted to cheating on his wife on several occasions, which Da’Nai forgave, and the two later posted a video together, showing their commitment to working together. Nonetheless, Jaxn was still considered the villain in the script, and Da’Nai who wore a bonnet in the video (which she would later call her Helmet of Salvation), became the poster child for “I Am left to stick next to him.”

It’s unclear what steps will be taken next for the couple, or what co-parenting arrangements will be made for the sake of the children, but I can personally say I’m glad my sister is freed from Jaxn’s shackles and manipulative ways. .
