Priorities

I don’t know why Elena is staying with Nate at this point; he keeps clarifying his priorities. He was so grateful to be back in her good graces, only to defend her in favor of hanging out after hours at the office with Victoria. I don’t even understand what he was thinking with the whole plot to bring Chancellor-Winters under Newman’s umbrella. Make sense! The way Victoria returned drinks with Nate, one has to wonder if the writers plan to put them together. I didn’t notice any sexual attraction between them – and you would have guessed that when they were alone in the office – so who knows?

Torn between two lovers

Adam may have been telling the truth when he gave Sally some insight into his relationship with Nick, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to listen. He clearly caught her eye with the proposal and the speech in her aftermath sequel, but he still gives off such a loose cannon vibe that there’s no way she’s changing course just yet. Nick, for his part, does and says all the right things with his knight-in-shiny-armor routine and making her feel safe. But this back and forth cannot last indefinitely. What will happen when Victor gets wind of his sons fighting over the redhead? Nothing good. In reality, GRASS recently announced that Victor will start digging into Sally’s past! Thanksgiving

If Ashley has any more run-ins with Diane, we’ll have to start calling her “Clashley”… but how fun were they?!? Ashley snickering that Diane is so obvious it’s raw, and Diane pleading with Ashley to wake up and realize Tucker is using her… just as Jack walks in and slams the door down to break it down. Thanksgiving at the Abbotts’ house then was delightful with Diane arriving like a lead balloon, the whispers and drinks, and Jack having everyone – including Diane, who declared herself a family member at the big Ashley’s irritation – in turn Thank you. Luckily we have the soapy tension and the emotion as Ol ‘Smilin’ cried while giving the toast. I’m ready for this feud to escalate with the foreshadowing of all the danger and Ashley telling Tucker that “It’s time to take that bitch down.” The look on his face clearly showed he was relishing everything of that.

Thanksgiving Revelations

Sharon’s vacation week consisted of helping Chelsea, with Noah collapsing on her over Audra’s miscarriage, and Mariah and Tessa revealing that their adoption had failed. More on that next week. In the end, Sharon’s annual event to feed the homeless at Crimson Lights went ahead with a house full of helpers and a long line of people in need. And amid the aforementioned issues, there was a heartwarming moment when Johnny sat down with Chelsea.

It’s bananas

My favorite event this week was Daniel’s comeback. Lily lit up like a Christmas tree in his presence…and it was as if someone had turned a dimmer to ‘off’ when he left her with Billy. Later, Daniel confessed to Phyllis, who was thrilled to see him, that he and Heather were on the rocks. You do not say ?!? Ideally, he also has a business idea and tells Summer in the preview that he wants to work with Chancellor-Winters. As Lily watches Chelsea and Billy’s connection to Crimson Lights, the writing is on the wall with fluorescent red spray paint – Lily and Daniel are getting back together. Oh, and for those of you wondering if they’re dressing up as fruit while on the run together, here it is:

Blind

Victor knows it all and sees it all, except for Abby, who managed to shock her socks off by announcing that she and Chance were on the rocks and wouldn’t be coming to the ranch for Thanksgiving. Just wait until he confronts Chance with his “What did you do to my daughter?” routine, only to find that it was Abby who did him Wrong! In the meantime, everyone is talking about who will be Chance’s next love interest. See what may be a clue here.
