‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star Robyn Dixon is angry with Karen Huger for making ‘dangerous’ statements about her husband, Juan Dixon, on the January 22 episode of the Bravo reality show .
“When I watched the episode, I was like, ‘You know what? This is actually borderline dangerous,’ Robyn, 43, says on Page Six’s ‘Virtual Reali-Tea’ podcast. .
“Because I felt like it actually involved something that didn’t happen. [and] we shouldn’t put [that] the low.”
Huger, 59, notably accused Juan, 44, of making her “uncomfortable” during an alleged interaction that took place at the “RHOP” Season 4 reunion in 2019.
“Juan begins to take me in his arms [and] squeeze me so tight my boobs came back to my vertebrae,” the Leading Lady told the cast over dinner while on a trip to Mexico.
“She looked like she had been sheltered all her life and never had a friendly interaction with a man,” Robyn jokes, recalling Huger’s claims. “I just swept this away [at the time].”
Now that she’s had time to reflect, the “Reasonably Shady” podcast co-host says Huger had no reason to attack her husband’s integrity.
“It’s not fair that you can just throw out an accusation like that and not pay attention to what you say,” she says.
“Are you going to tell me you’re going to wait years to talk about it because it was so important?” Robin continues. “No, if it was that bad, tell me then and I’ll say, ‘Listen, women are fragile. She can’t stand your firm hugs.
But it was more than a hard hug that Huger blamed on Juan during the girls’ getaway. She also spread unsubstantiated rumors that he had a secret girlfriend – who looked like Huger – and claimed the former NBA player once offered her a threesome with Robyn.
These particular allegations, derided by the majority of “RHOP” ladies, are also somewhat amusing to Robyn. (She and Juan vehemently denied them on the show.)
“At this point, I just think she might be a little obsessed with Juan or something – I don’t know!” said. “It’s just…it’s really weird to me, you know?” Especially coming from someone his maturity.
The Embellished by Robyn Dixon founder adds, “For it to come from her, where it’s just, like, she’s so pressured by what we’re doing, it’s very strange.”
Huger – who has been married to her husband, Ray Huger, since 1996 – even accused the Dixons of planning a “fake” second wedding.
Page Six confirmed on Monday that the couple have married again, years after breaking up with their marriage. Footage of their surprise ceremony will air during the show’s upcoming Season 7 finale, an insider tells Us.
According to People, the intimate event took place after filming wrapped for the season and without the presence of any of Robyn’s “RHOP” co-stars.
The newlyweds – who share sons Corey, 14, and Carter, 13 – were high school sweethearts and first married in July 2005. Although they divorced in 2012, the couple never never fully separated and continued to live with their children.
They eventually rekindled their romance and got engaged in front of Bravo’s cameras in December 2019.
Robyn teased during her “Virtual Reali-Tea” appearance that her recent nuptials would air on “Potomac.”
“Nothing in my life is wrong. I’ll say, just keep watching the show,” she says. “You’ll see our plans unfold and see what the final decision was in the end about marriage.”
“The Real Housewives of Potomac” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
