Britney Spears reportedly had a seizure at a Los Angeles restaurant on Friday, prompting her husband, Sam Asghari, to leave the establishment.
People who allegedly witnessed the incident at Joey’s in Woodland Hills, Calif., told TMZ on Saturday that the pop icon, 41, was “manic” and started talking gibberish.
Spears was also being taped at the time by patrons inside the restaurant, which reportedly upset the “Hold Me Closer” singer.
In video obtained by the outlet, Spears could be seen holding a menu to shield her face from the camera.
Sources say Asghari, 28, was “visibly upset” and “chased away” from the place without his wife.
Just two minutes later, Spears reportedly came out herself and her bodyguard picked up the bill.
Representatives for the music superstar did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment. Asghari’s rep declined to comment.
A Joey’s official told Page Six they couldn’t “release any information” or confirm the couple were there.
Spears has openly struggled with mental health issues, particularly due to the stress of her 13 years of guardianship.
She was reportedly diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but has spoken out on social media and in court that she was held in a mental health facility against her will and forced to take medication.
Despite her struggles, Spears and Asghari were able to wed in June 2022 in a fairytale wedding at the Grammy winner’s California home with celebrity guests including Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Madonna and more.
The “Toxic” singer and the “Family Business” actor are usually very private but have sometimes shown a very united front on social media.
For Spears’ birthday in December, Asghari posted a video on Instagram of all the special things he did to commemorate his wife on her special day, including taking her out to eat and showering her with presents and balloons.
Later that month, he debunked skeptics’ claims that he “controls” Spears, telling TMZ at the time, “No, I don’t even control what we have for dinner.”
“You know, in the past a lot has happened, so I understand where [fans are] coming,” the model added.
“They are just protective. On the contrary, they are good fans.
However, the couple have hinted a few times that not everything is going well in their relationship.
Spears admitted in November that she was not fully “present” at her wedding to Asghari and the Iranian actor also said he was not a fan of his wife’s topless photos online.
The couple did not directly address the recent incident at the restaurant on their social media.
