Anytime, anywhere…they probably won’t get back together.
Shakira took to Instagram to shake her famously truthful hips after her allegedly cheating ex, Gerard Pique, went public with his new girlfriend.
“Las mujeres ya no lloran las mujeres bailan merengue!” the Colombian pop star, 45, captioned a split-screen video showing her dancing and speaking the lyrics to her scathing track, “BZRP Music Session #53.”
In English, the caption reads: “Women weep no more; the women are dancing the merengue”, which is similar to the lyrics of the song: “The women do not cry anymore; women cash in.
In the clip, which was apparently filmed at a dance studio, Shakira wore a super sexy black long-sleeved cutout bodysuit, which she paired with matching joggers.
Her caramel locks were down and straight, with her bangs pulled back to show off her flawless glamour.
Earlier this week, Pique – who appears to have inspired the breakup anthem – went Instagram official with Clara Chia Marti.
In the selfie-style snap, the retired Spanish soccer star, 35, and the PR student, 23 – who reportedly started their romance while still with Shakira – settled down together on the terrace of a restaurant as they flashed sly smiles at the camera. .
Although Pique didn’t caption the upload, reviewers were quick to make sarcastic suggestions in the comments section.
“I would have been ashamed,” one dissenter remarked, while another wrote, “imagine ruining your family life with your wife and kids because you couldn’t keep your penis in your pants.”
“She doesn’t compare to the mother of your children,” added a third.
And many users have referenced the jar of jam that allegedly informed Shakira that her longtime love had brought someone else to their Barcelona home.
The multiple Grammy winner apparently realized her 11-year-old partner allegedly cheated on her when their jelly kept disappearing while she was on a business trip, even though Pique and their sons – Milan, 10, and Sasha, 7 – hate fruit spread.
A source told Page Six earlier this month that the singer was “devastated to hear that this woman clearly felt at home in the home she shared with her children.”
Shakira hinted at the awkward situation in her ‘Te Felicito’ music video – which dropped in April 2022, two months before she even announced the split. The musician has continued to train the hunky athlete musically ever since.
Insiders tell us the singer is currently working on a “very empowering” new song that will feature even more details about the nasty breakup.
