An artist who was selected by the Princess of Wales to draw the invitation to her Christmas carol concert has called it a “huge honor and privilege” to be part of the event.
Kate Middleton will host the event, which will pay tribute to the late Queen, on Thursday December 15 at Westminster Abbey, before it airs on ITV on Christmas Eve.
The royal announced the news on Twitter by sharing a video clip of Aurelie Baudry Palmer, from London, sketching a snowy scene at the church, with trees decorated with fairy lights and a number of corgi dogs outside.
Aurélie shared a photo of the final image on her Instagram page, writing: ‘I have just had the immense honor and privilege of illustrating the Invitation to the Westminster Abbey Christmas Carol Service on behalf of by @princeandprincessofwales.

The artist, who was born in France and now lives in London, posted on Instagram that it was an “incredible honour” to be part of the event.
“It is an incredible honor to be part of this event in this way and I am deeply grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
“I’m beaming with joy seeing the final video and so grateful to the entire team who helped put this together.”
She added: ‘Put Thursday December 15 in your diary! It will also be available to watch on @ITV on Christmas Eve. ‘
It is unclear how the Princess of Wales found the illustrator, who is originally from France but now lives in London.

She has previously produced illustrations for the Four Seasons hotel group, as well as sold her own cards and notes on the Etsy online marketplace.
Kate and Prince William shared the video on their official KensingtonRoyal social media accounts on Friday evening, writing: “A date for your diary in December!”
“And you can join us for this very special Carol service on @ITV on Christmas Eve.”
The aim of the service is to recognize the selflessness of individuals and communities across the UK and to highlight the importance of supporting others during difficult times.

Adorable details in the illustration showed a number of royal corgis, in an apparent homage to the Queen
The event, which is led by the Princess of Wales Group supported by the Royal Foundation, will showcase the ‘joy’ of coming together in friendships and community events that support people in times of hardship and loss.
It is designed to appeal to people of all faiths, as well as people who do not practice any faith or religion.
Royal fans can expect to see members of the Royal Family attend the event as the late Queen is commemorated in a ceremony that will honor some core values she demonstrated throughout her life, including empathy and compassion.
To celebrate these values, special guests will be invited to the Abbey in recognition of their efforts to help the people around them.
At last year’s event, the Princess of Wales was joined by husband Prince William, Sophie Wessex, and Zara and Mike Tindall

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were also present and were pictured singing the carols and hymns.
It was also a family affair for the princess, with her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, and siblings James and Pippa also in attendance.
During the service, guest speakers were invited to address the crowd, with the Prince of Wales delivering a speech as well as ITV presenter Kate Garraway.
Westminster Abbey will be adorned with decorations to mark the event, where favorite Christmas carols and readings will be performed.
