Alec Baldwin has been slammed for a bizarre Instagram post – his first since appearing he will be charged with two counts of manslaughter.
Just days after prosecutors revealed plans to hold him responsible for the accidental murder of Halyna Hutchins in October 2021, the 64-year-old actor left his followers stumped with his latest Instagram caption.
Beneath a sweet photo of his son holding his mother’s shoulders as they sat on their living room floor, the Golden Globe winner sent trolls into a frenzy as he suggested his baby boy was pulling ‘the old, let me rub your back’ on mum Hilaria Baldwin.
The public release came just hours after Boston-born Hilaria was ridiculed for slipping into an “offensive” Spanish accent while asking photographers to leave her children alone following Alec’s indictment.

Last week, sources claimed Alec was “trying to stay strong” for his children after he was charged with manslaughter in the death of Halyna Hutchins.

She added in a statement: “Actor and producer Alec Baldwin and gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will each be charged with two counts of manslaughter.
“After a thorough review of the evidence…I have determined that there is sufficient evidence.
“In my custody, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice.”
Assistant manager Dave Halls has agreed to a plea deal on the charge of careless use of a deadly weapon. He will receive six months probation and a suspended prison sentence.
Alec has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and said Dave said it was a ‘cold’ gun – meaning it was unloaded and safe – when he handed the gun to him .
Hannah was not present when the incident happened, but the actor had previously suggested she bore some responsibility as it was her job to prep and check props.
The ’30 Rock’ star previously insisted he didn’t pull the trigger when Halyna was shot, but the FBI tested the gun and later released a report concluding it didn’t. wouldn’t have fired if someone hadn’t pulled the trigger.
Halyna’s death was previously ruled an accident, but her family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Alec and others involved in the production.
The lawsuit was settled last October and it was agreed that filming would resume on “Rust,” with the cinematographer’s widower, Matthew Hutchins, on board as executive producer.
Matthew previously said he had “no interest” in blaming his wife’s tragic death and wanted to pay tribute to Halyna’s “last work”.
In a statement, he said: “We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of ‘Rust,’ including Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions, LLC. As part of this settlement, our case will be rejected.
“Filming of Rust, which I will now produce, will resume with all original principal cast on board in January 2023.
“I have no interest in indulging in recriminations or assigning blame (to producers or Mr. Baldwin).
“We all believe Halyna’s death was a terrible accident. I am grateful that the producers and entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna’s latest work.’
Alec also sued four crew members – Hannah, Dave, Sarah Zachry and Seth Kenney – claiming they failed to protect the film set.
