The actress said Tippi ‘taught’ her ‘all the basic skills a girl or woman needed to know at that time’, such as ‘cooking, cleaning, self-care, and most importantly, how to create a safe space for me.
She added: “That’s what I wanted to emulate as a mother, a woman who is content with herself, who can take care of herself and who knows how to love herself.”
Besides being mother to Stella, Melanie also shares A-list star Dakota Johnson with her ex, Don Johnson, as well as 37-year-old son Alexander Bauer with ex-husband Steven Bauer.
