Julie Bowen spoke candidly about plastic surgery right after her hit TV show Modern Family ended in 2020.
The 52-year-old actress, who played Claire Dunphy on the ABC sitcom from 2009 to 2020, opened up to The View on Wednesday after being inspired by host Sunny Hostin, 54, who recently spoke about her own plastic surgery to destigmatize it.
“Finally fixed the stomach,” Julie revealed as she held her stomach.

“Finally, after all these years. They tore it up, the twins just tore it up,’ she said, referring to her 13-year-old sons Gus and John.
“And I said, ‘As soon as Modern Family is done…I’ll get it fixed. “But it’s been 11 years! So 11 years later we’re done on Friday and on Monday they come in and they love you a sneaker,’ Julie said.
Sunny gave Julie her approval.
‘You look ripped off! You look good, Sunny tells him.

Julie noted earlier that she was 39 and pregnant with twins when she filmed the pilot episode of Modern Family.
The actress also shares 15-year-old son Oliver with ex-husband Scott Phillips.

Julie and Scott got married in September 2004 and she filed for divorce in February 2018 and it was finalized in September 2018.
She received critical acclaim for her work on Modern Family and was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series six times and won in 2011 and 2012.
Julie’s film credits include the 1996 film Happy Gilmore, the 2011 film Horrible Bosses, and the 2021 film The Fallout, among others.
She has also starred in several TV shows besides Modern Family with starring roles in the NBC medical drama ER, NBC comedy series Ed, ABC legal drama Boston Drama, and ABC drama series Lost.
