Yellowstone actor Josh Lucas has said he’s more than willing to film a sequel to the 2002 film Sweet Home Alabama, which also starred Reese Witherspoon.
The 51-year-old actor has been pushing for Witherspoon, 46, to make a sequel to the film, which turns 20 next September.
During a chat with Entertainment Tonight earlier this week, Lucas said, “I would love to.” I campaigned for her. I’m not going to say she’s the problem, but I think it’s partly because Reese is so busy.

“I really believe that – I guess, I hope – that she wants to be a part of it. Carving out a piece of her life is not so easy for her. I don’t have the same responsibilities or time constraints, so hopefully she can find a time to do it. I’ll be there tomorrow, he said.
Since making the original film, Witherspoon has launched her production company, Hello Sunshine, and has created several movies and TV shows, including Big Little Lies.
Reese – whose next film is Your Place Or Mine starring Ashton Kutcher – has also launched her own fashion and accessories line called Draper James, which has been so successful it is now worth over $300 million.
Along with producing movies and being a mom, Reese has been known to introduce a Christmas line every year.

In November, Reese spoke to ET and hinted at the possibility of returning to play the character of Melanie Smooter.
The mother-of-three said it was magical filming the scene inside Tiffany’s jewelry store, which she was reminded of when she was filming her new movie, Something From Tiffany’s.
“I think I was 24, and it was a night shoot, so we were up all night. And they had closed the whole store. So, we were allowed to walk around and look at all the jewelry , everything,” she told Entertainment Tonight in November. “It was just magical. It was very magical.

She ardently wants her divorce in Alabama, which she had been looking for for seven years to remarry.
Since the release of Sweet Home Alabama nearly 20 years ago, Reese has become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
She achieved superstar status after Legally Blonde, and in 2006 won an Oscar for Walk The Line.
She now stars alongside Jennifer Aniston on The Morning Show.
