Daisy Anguiano, who shared a clip of the incident online, said the stuntman fell from one of the studio’s high-rise towers as part of the act, before it became clear the planned stunt had gone horribly wrong.
She told ABC7: “It was a packed house, like it happened in front of everyone.
‘I was like, ‘Oh my God, something or someone might be drowning. Maybe it’s the person who just fell. Did something happen?’
She said the terrifying accident happened near the show’s finale, when the WaterWorld villain caught fire and collapsed in the water below.
It is currently unknown what caused the medical emergency – whether the stuntman was injured by the fall, the water impact – or if he suffered a separate medical emergency.
The shocked crowd watched as one of the performers rushed to find a life jacket, while several other staff members pulled the unconscious stuntman from the water to a backstage area.

“Everyone in the staff and crew is doing this together so that they don’t let this person die,” Anguiano added. “He was unconscious pulling him out of the water.”
The artist underwent CPR for more than five minutes as staff urgently tried to resuscitate him, before he was then rushed to a nearby hospital by paramedics.
The crowded show was eventually canceled and the traumatized tourists were escorted out of the studio. The performer’s condition is currently unknown.
The WaterWorld show is based on a 1995 hit movie of the same name. The hit film starred Kevin Costner in a post-apocalyptic epic that was the most expensive film ever made at the time.
The production plays at Universal Studios theme parks in Hollywood, Japan and Singapore.
A Universal Studios Hollywood spokesperson confirmed the artist remains hospitalized and said, “Our thoughts are with him as he receives treatment.” Details surrounding the event are under review.
