Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban are preparing to celebrate Christmas Down Under after flying to Sydney with their daughters Sunday, 14, and Faith, 12, this weekend.
And this year’s festivities will be particularly important, as it could be one of the last with Nicole’s mother Janelle, 81, who has been sick since January.
Insiders say Nicole, 55, is aware her time with Janelle is limited and plans to make this year’s Christmas celebrations especially memorable.

In October, Keith, 55, told The Daily Telegraph that spending Christmas with all his family was of the utmost importance.
“My mum just turned 80 and Nic’s mum… who knows how many Christmases we have with anyone but especially our mums, I really cherish this chance to spend Chrissy with them and our family in Aus” , did he declare.
“Having the kids in there is great, but so is extended family because we don’t have family in Nashville, so it’s amazing to have all the cousins and aunts and uncles and everybody, it’s just amazing,” he added.

According to New Idea magazine, Nicole and Keith will spend Christmas Day at Balmoral Beach on Sydney’s north shore, joined by Nicole’s mother and sister, Antonia, her six children and Keith’s mother, Marienne.
Both Nicole and Keith have lost their respective fathers, Antony and Bob, in recent years.

Nicole previously opened up about her mother’s health issues in an interview with the Fresh Air podcast in January.
The Oscar-winning actor said they managed to visit the Art Gallery of New South Wales after hours, where they viewed the exhibition Matisse: Life and Spirit, describing it as a “balm soothing”.
“We are here mainly to take care of my mother and have her surrounded by her grandchildren,” she said.

Nicole was last seen with her mother at the Sydney premiere of Being the Ricardos last December, with the pair appearing on the red carpet together.
“Fortunately yesterday, even though Omicron is all the rage in this country, we were able to take him into the gallery after hours and show him the Matisse exhibit, which coming from a mother who raised me in the arts, it was a soothing balm. Matisse put on a soothing balm last night.
Later in the interview, Nicole said she felt privileged to be able to see the world through her mother’s eyes, describing it as “so beneficial”.
“I’m in the place where I have the chance to see the world, because of our closeness, my mother gives me the chance to see the world through the eyes of an 81-year-old woman,” she explained.
Although they didn’t pose for pictures together, Nicole made sure her mother was well taken care of, lovingly holding her hand as she spoke to her.
“It’s so beneficial right now, because she’s so aware. She has all the cerebral faculties available, so she hasn’t lost anything. She hasn’t lost any memory, which is fascinating, and she’s extremely bright.
“She gives me access, because she’s also very straightforward and very honest, and so I have access to the world through her eyes, my mother’s eyes, so so a part of me almost at 80.”
She added: “That’s her point of view, obviously.” There are a lot of different points of view at 80, but that’s his point of view and his particular path, but I’m drinking it and learning.
In December 2021, the mother-daughter was spotted at the Sydney premiere of Being the Ricardos in mid-December, with the pair appearing on the red carpet together.
