Adele has an Emmy, multiple Grammys and an Oscar, and only needs a Tony Award to complete her EGOT.
But in an interview with Broadway World to promote her latest single I Drink Wine, the 34-year-old platinum singer revealed she wasn’t very familiar with the acting world.
“I can’t lie guys, I’m not a huge Broadway fan,” the Easy on Me artist admitted.

‘I know I know. I’m talking about musicals because I’ve seen a few plays but I don’t think I’ve seen enough.
There is, however, a role that could attract her to the limelight: Mama Rose in the musical Gypsy.
‘I saw [Gypsy] in London and I loved the role of the mother. She has a song when she said, “I wanted to do all this,” and she’s jealous of her own daughter and she really knows about it. At one point she was just ab***h into it that I could nail,” she claimed with a smile, then added, “But never say never.

Mama Rose: Adele said if there was one role that could attract her on stage it would be Gypsy’s Mama Rose, but said her friend, Bette Midler, who starred in the role in a TV movie 1993, told her she would ‘never be able to keep up with the program on Broadway’
However, her friend Bette Midler, 76, who played the role in a 1993 TV movie, informed the hitmaker that working in a musical every day might not have been the right move.
‘[Bette] was like, “You could never keep up with the Broadway schedule.” ‘
The superstar, who joked that she liked the sound of EGO better than EGOT, agreed with her pal’s advice, confessing, “Because I’m so lazy.” I’m notoriously lazy… I wouldn’t be able to do matinees and all that. I don’t have the stamina for that.

The artist, who is about to open her own Weekends with Adele residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, thought she might have a solution to this problem and cheekily asked, “Do I just move the Vegas show on Broadway and win the Toni?
She will have time to realize it.
