Meghan Markle is seen bursting into tears in the explosive new trailer for their £88million Netflix docu-series.
The streaming platform released a new 60-second teaser for the couple’s documentary this afternoon ahead of its release next week.
The short trailer shows never-before-seen footage from the couple’s first relationship in 2016 to the present day.
In a snapshot, the mother-of-two, 41, who moved to Montecito, California, after leaving the royal family, is seen sitting on a sofa next to her husband after appearing to receive heartbreaking news.

It’s unclear when the footage was taken or what sparked the emotional outburst, but the trailer says it was filmed following the couple’s resignation as senior royals in January 2020.
Elsewhere in the clip, Harry’s voice is heard saying ‘No one sees what happens behind closed doors’ just before the image appears, with others showing Meghan cradling her baby and dancing with Harry at their wedding.
In another undated moment, the Duchess is seen looking lovingly at her husband and wiping away a tear as she is chased away from Prince Harry.

A third black and white clip shows the Duchess curled up in an armchair with a £1,260 Hermès blanket.
She is pictured with her head in her hand as she holds her phone – although it’s unclear whether the Duchess bursts into tears or is overwhelmed with happiness.
The announcement could hardly come at the worst time for William and Kate, who are on the second day of a visit to the United States that has been overshadowed by a row of races at Buckingham Palace.
The clip opens with a producer asking “why do you want to do this documentary?” before more than a dozen photos showed Harry and Meghan sharing time together, as well as an image of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The Sussexes have been handed a rumored $100million (£88million) for the fly-on-the-wall series, which has left the royals prepared for more damaging accusations from the couple.
It comes at an unnecessary time for the Prince and Princess of Wales – whose US tour got off to a rocky start yesterday after a scandal over ‘racist’ comments from Lady Susan Hussey at an event hosted by Queen Consort Camilla.
Ngozi Fulani said she felt “questioned” by Lady Susan about her country of origin, despite being born in the UK and repeatedly saying she was British. Officials said they were taking the incident “extremely seriously”.

The couple’s documentary series hits Netflix next week. While it’s unclear exactly what part of their family life the couple was willing to share, they certainly let the Netflix cameras follow them in public appearances in 2021 and 2022.
The series is set to air next Thursday.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their deal with Netflix just six months after moving to California in March 2020, saying they wanted to bring “hope and inspiration” by teaming up with the streaming goliath.
The Duke and Duchess said their company, then unnamed but now known as Archewell Productions, would make documentaries, feature films, scripted shows and children’s shows.
