Jennifer Lopez has nothing but good things to say about her husband Ben Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
Speaking in a new interview with Vogue, JLo got candid about the challenges of co-parenting after reigniting her 20-year on/off relationship with Ben, whom she married earlier this year.
Ben sadly said he felt “trapped” during his 13-year marriage to Garner, even admitting he “probably still would have been drinking” if he hadn’t split from his ex in 2015.

Lopez and Ben first met between 2002 and 2004 and during their 20-year hiatus Ben married Garner, the couple sharing Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13 and Samuel, 10.
The couple separated in 2018 after getting married in 2005.
Meanwhile, Jennifer married Marc Anthony in 2005 and three years later they welcomed twins Emme and Max, now 14. They divorced in 2014.
Speaking to Vogue, Jennifer gushed about her and Ben’s smooth relationship with Garner, calling it “an amazing co-parent, and they work really well together.”

Jennifer has also enjoyed a good co-parenting relationship with her ex Marc, and the pair often appear on each other’s social media pages.
While his new wife seems to have helped bridge the rifts, Ben’s co-parenting relationship with Garner hasn’t always been so smooth.
Ben faced a lot of criticism last year when he announced he felt “trapped” in his marriage to Garner and would “never have gotten sober” if they were still together.
The actor made the startling remarks during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, saying “part of the reason I started drinking was because I was trapped.”

‘I was like, ‘I can’t leave because of my kids, but I’m not happy, what do I do? And what I did was [I] drank a bottle of scotch and fell asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution.

His candid comments sparked a social media storm, where users accused Affleck of trying to ‘blame’ his drinking problem on Garner – who was pictured driving her ex-husband to rehab detox in 2018, three years after their separation.
Speaking about co-parenting their children, Lopez admitted that “transition is a process that needs to be handled very carefully.
“They have so many feelings. They’re teenagers. But it’s been going really well so far.
“What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his children have a new ally in me and my children have a new ally in him, someone who truly loves them and truly cares for them, but who can have a different perspective and help me see the things that I can’t see with my kids because I’m so emotionally connected.
