JoJo Siwa and girlfriend Avery Cyrus have called it quits after just three months of dating.
Cyrus, a 22-year-old TikTok creator, confirmed the news in a video shared on Saturday that featured a clip of Siwa, 19, giving her a “sorry for breaking up with you now.”
When a fan demanded an explanation regarding the breakup, Cyrus explained that she and Siwa decided to just be friends and focus on themselves.

“We decided we were better off as friends! We’re both so young and still trying to figure our stuff out,’ the content creator wrote.
Siwa and Cyrus initially sparked romance rumors in August in a TikTok where they lip-synced to a former voiceover from KUWTK star Kourtney Kardashian and baby daddy Scott Disick.
They went social media official in September when a clip showed them kissing in a Chuck E. Cheese.

The couple opened up a bit about their relationship in October in a vlog. Cyrus said: ‘We are friends now. I’m so glad you said yes. I knew you weren’t going to say no, I was just nervous.
Siwa then replied, “I’d be mad if I said no, you’re the best girlfriend in the world.”
The Nebraska native dated Kylie Prew after coming out last year. The couple separated in August after dating for more than a year and a half.
‘But like, I don’t know, bisexual, pansexual, queer, lesbian, gay, straight. I always say gay because it sort of covers it or queer because I think the keyword is cool,’ Siwa told People in January 2021.

Siwa’s beef with Bure, 46, goes beyond remarks – over the summer, the dancer, who has been part of the LGBTQ community for the past year, called the Full House actress ” rudest celebrity” she’s ever met.
