‘Can you believe I was 21 when I started filming Southern Charm, in its first season? That was in 2013, and in the decade since, it’s safe to say my life has changed in ways I never could have imagined,’ she shared in her statement.
“It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m so lucky to have had reality cameras there, capturing so many moments that I’ll never forget (and a few, even, that I would like to).”
Kathryn explained that her reality TV fans have watched her “grow up” and “become a mom to two amazing kids” while making friends she can “always cherish” in the future.
“And through it all, the love you all showed me not only gave me the strength I needed to face it all, but helped me realize that I was not alone. I am so grateful.’

If Kathryn has indeed left the show, it comes a year after bigger life changes.
In November 2021, she and Chleb Ravenell “split up” as a season eight episode of Southern Charm, which aired in July, showed the disintegration of their romance.
The two were ultimately separated by Kathryn’s custody battle with ex Thomas Ravenel, though they both had different interpretations of why the relationship didn’t work out.
Following a disagreement featured in the previous episode, Kathryn attempted to lower the temperature by cooking a meal for Chleb and inviting him over for dinner.

“I thought Chleb was going to be my person forever, but now it’s like, I don’t know,” she said in a confessional interview. “I feel like he has one foot in, one foot out.”
However, her boyfriend confessed his love and told her he wanted to come back to her.
“I have a lot to do and I feel like you lack empathy for what I’m going through,” Kathryn said, referring to her ongoing custody issues with her ex Thomas.
Chleb responded by saying she didn’t care as much about him as he did about her.
“You don’t care about my feelings,” he said, though he always seemed to want to work through their issues. “Honestly, I’m trying to make it work.”
Difference of opinion: Both parties seemed to agree that Kathryn’s custody fight with Thomas (pictured) was a catalyst for the split, although they had different interpretations
Too early? Kathryn claimed Chleb was ’emotionally unavailable’ but he claimed she ‘thrown me right on me’ after three months
Kathryn went further, saying she wasn’t sure the relationship could survive their differences.
“Over the past few days, I’ve thought a lot about what I needed and what I wasn’t getting in this relationship,” she said, adding that she thought Chleb was “emotionally unavailable”.
“I’ve had relationships with emotionally unavailable people, and I haven’t seen you take the steps to fulfill the role that I would like someone to fulfill,” she continued.
But Chleb claimed it was his custody battle with Thomas that kept him away from her. Kathryn and Thomas share eight-year-old daughter Kensington and six-year-old son St. Julien.
“I didn’t know what I was getting into until I went out with you,” Chleb said. “Like three months into our relationship, you threw the kids right at me.
Kathryn suggested Chleb might not even be in the mood for a relationship if he can’t manage his family, before suggesting they end things for good.
Sad separation: Chleb stormed out of their house and packed her things while Kathryn was in tears
“I can’t keep trying if I don’t feel like you’re trying,” she continued. “I never imagined what the moment we would really like to part ways would be like, but I really think it’s the best thing for you and for me.”
Kathryn was overcome with tears and Chleb swore before packing up some of these things and leaving.
In November 2021, a source told Us Weekly that the former couple had no hard feelings for each other.
“Her future husband should be this amazing stepdad to her kids and be someone who would seriously commit to her, and [Chleb] just wasn’t it,’ the source said, echoing their tense discussion about Southern Charm.
“They weren’t meant to be and even his friends understood that. She has so much love in her life only with her grandchildren,’ the insider continued.
The couple started dating in July 2020.
