Difficult loss: The Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around singer, who dated Buckingham and Fleetwood, has been open about grieving her ‘best friend in the world since day one in 1975’

The announcement of the next concert comes two months after the death of English musician McVie at 79 following a brief illness,

Nicks, who has dated Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood, has been open about mourning her “best friend in the world since day one in 1975”.

Upon hearing the news, Nicks revealed in a handwritten note via Instagram that she didn’t know her close friend was ill until three days before he passed.

As she grappled with the immediate aftershock of Mcvie’s death, the performer wrote that she was singing Haim’s song, Hallelujah.

“See you on the other side, my love,” she concluded in her heartfelt letter.

McVie is best known for writing and singing some of their band’s biggest hits, including Don’t Stop, Little Lies, Say You Love Me, You Make Loving Fun and Songbird.

His genius and warm, soulful voice helped make the former blues band one of the most successful rock bands of all time, with over 100 million records sold worldwide.

Talented: She joined Fleetwood Mac in 1971 as a permanent member, and the group achieved even greater popularity with the addition of Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham in the mid-1970s (pictured in 1990)

McVie joined Fleetwood Mac in 1971 as a permanent member, and the group achieved even greater popularity with the addition of Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham in the mid-1970s.

Many of his songs were featured on Rumors, their best-known work of 1977 which chronicled the band’s drug use and affairs and is consistently cited as one of rock’s greatest albums.

Born Christine Perfect in the Lake District village of Bouth, Cumbria, in 1943, she grew up near Birmingham. She studied at art school and graduated as an art teacher – but became one of the few women involved in the British blues boom of the late 1960s, joining a band called Chicken Shack and also releasing a solo album. She married Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie in 1968 and by 1970 was an integral part of Fleetwood Mac.

Their British-American rock band was founded in London in 1967 and has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful bands in history. Their best known songs include Dreams, Go Your Own Way and Everywhere.
