He said: “The footwear industry is a family business. The automotive industry is a family business. I think my kids are all like Renaissance artists, you know? [They] are good at whatever they choose to be. But the question here is, can you make it stick?
And then he said that passion, drive, talent and luck were really the necessary ingredients.
‘You have to have a passion, you have to have a reader. And yes, our home has existed in the company town of Los Angeles. Success is a combination of talent, perseverance, drive and luck.
The Cast Away star added that when it was suggested that one of his sons play the younger version of his character in a film, it “made sense”, but the decision was entirely up to the little one.

He told ET, “Now, without a doubt, we’ve had a director who said, ‘Well, why can’t your kid play you at an early age?’ And that would make sense because we look a lot alike,” he noted.
“But the final analysis is that the person has to show up on the day and hit the marks and tell the truth. Only he can make this decision. It was up to him.
On Tuesday, he told Today again that it was not his idea to cast Truman for a role in his new film.
