Just a day after her divorce was finalized, actress Valerie Bertinelli hopped on a plane to spend Thanksgiving with her son Wolfgang in Italy.
The 62-year-old actress was married to financial planner Tom Vitale from 2011 until they split exactly a year ago, with the divorce finalized on Wednesday.
She took to her Instagram Story on Thursday to share a brief video of herself enjoying coffee in Milan, Italy.

“Hello,” she whispered in the brief video, wearing a black top and oversized red sunglasses.
She also shared the message from her lawyer, who shared the video she posted from the airport on Wednesday revealing that her divorce had been finalized after a full year, adding that she was the “best lawyer”.
Her next snap showed her receiving a kiss on the cheek from her brother Patrick Bertinelli while holding a glass of wine.

She also shared a brief video inside a restaurant in Milan, where she tells the crowded room, “Happy Thanksgiving” where they all cheer.
“The Italian way,” she says at the end of the brief video, before sharing a photo of her 31-year-old son, Wolfgang Van Halen, and his fiancée Andraia Allsop.
She concluded her Instagram posts with one last photo of herself with Wolfgang and Andraia.

Her vacation trip came just after she was told by her lawyer that her divorce was finally finalized after a year-long process.
“I’m at the airport, about to go see Wolfie, and my lawyer just called,” she told fans in the video.
‘The papers are all signed, they are about to be filed, 11/22/22, I am officially divorced! Happily divorced! God, she added with a huge sigh of relief.

It was also revealed that Bertinelli will have to pay $2.2 million to Vitale “in full, final and complete settlement and satisfaction of all claims between them.”
The Touched By An Angel actress and Vitale tied the knot on New Year’s Day 2011 at their home in Malibu, Calif., after dating for years.
