Brooke Shields shows off her toned body in red swimsuit for Thanksgiving icy dip

Brooke Shields took the polar plunge earlier this year.

The actress and model celebrated Thanksgiving by posting a video of herself in a red one-piece taking a dip in a cold pool.

In the Instagram video, captioned “The #thanksgiving tradition continues” accompanied by a turkey emoji and an icy blue face emoji, Shields can be heard gasping with every step she takes deeper into the shallow pool. She manages to put her whole body, up to her shoulders, under water for a few seconds, before quickly getting out to warm up.

Shields started this tradition last year, posting a video of herself entering the same small pool wearing the same red bathing suit.

BROOKE SHIELDS ENGAGES WITH DREW BARRYMORE AFTER BARBARA WALTERS FEEL “TAKEN ADVANTAGE”

Shields’ freezing swim comes just days after she said she felt “taken advantage of” during her interview with Barbara Walters when she was 15.

During a recent appearance on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show,’ the 57-year-old opened up about how uncomfortable she felt during the 1981 interview when Walters started asking her about her body .

Of the interview, which took place after his infamous Calvin Klein ad sparked controversy, Shields said Walters “asked me what my measurements were and asked me to stand up, and I stand up, and she compares herself to this little girl, and I thought, ‘That’s not right. I don’t understand what that is.’

“But I just, behaved and smiled and felt, like, so taken advantage of in so many ways.”

Shields has previously spoken out about Walters’ line of questioning, calling the way she was interviewed “virtually criminal” and “not journalism” during an episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast with Dax Shepard last year.

After Barrymore spoke about her own negative experiences being interviewed by Walters, they both made it clear that they had no ill will towards the reporter and still had the utmost respect for her.

Shields has also been candid about her regrets for telling the world she was a virgin in her early 20s. She wrote about it in her 1985 book, “On Your Own,” which was about leaving home for the first time.

Earlier this month, on the “Now What?” podcast with Ali Wentworth, Shields said: “I think it was, in hindsight, a small mistake for me to be so open about my virginity because it never left me alone,” adding that she became the “most famous virgin in the world.”

That admission was followed by Shields being asked about her virginity by “strange older men” in interviews, something she told Wentworth was “very scary” in hindsight.

“But there was something about it, being in the crosshairs at such a young age that way I built resilience. It kind of prepared me to be ready for anything in this industry, which can be difficult,” she said.
