Prince Harry alleges ‘institutional gaslighting’, says ‘lies’ protected Prince William in new Netflix docuseries trailer

Meghan then says the couple’s security was “pulled” and “everyone in the world knew where we were”.

The trailer includes a selfie video Harry took on what he described as the “freedom flight” that presumably took him out of the UK after his last engagement as a senior royal.

“They were happy to lie to protect my brother,” Harry says, as a photo of him and Meghan flashes on screen. “They never wanted to tell the truth to protect us.”

Harry also alleges “institutional gaslighting”, while Meghan says of her experience as a senior royal, “I wasn’t thrown to the wolves. I was fed to the wolves.”

The minute-long trailer doesn’t provide any additional context on Harry and Meghan’s allegations.

The final three episodes, whose new trailer has been previewed, are set to premiere on Netflix on December 15.

The trailer includes footage of Harry and Archie kicking a ball with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, in what appears to be the backyard of the couple’s Montecito home.

Meghan says: “It gave us a chance to create that home we had always wanted.”

Amid clips of Harry walking on the beach and cycling with Meghan among the palm trees, the prince says: “I always felt like this was a fight worth fighting for.”

The trailer also includes quotes from Tyler Perry, who provided a home for Harry and Meghan when they first moved to California.

“They wanted to be free to love and to be happy,” Perry says. “I applauded that.”

In the opening seconds of the first episode of “Harry & Meghan”, Netflix says members of the British Royal Family “have declined to comment on the content of this series”.

Royal sources, however, told ABC News last week “neither Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, nor any member of the Royal Family have been approached to comment on the content of the series.”

Kensington Palace, home of Harry’s brother Prince William and his wife Kate, Princess of Wales, received an email claiming to be from a third-party production company, according to royal sources, via the address email from another unknown organization.

The Palace contacted Harry and Meghan’s production company, Archewell Productions, and Netflix to try to verify the authenticity of the email, but received no response, sources say.

According to the sources, failing to verify the authenticity of the email, the palace was “not able” to provide any response.

A Netflix source, meanwhile, told ABC News that the communications offices of Harry’s father, King Charles III and William, had been contacted in advance and had the right to respond to claims on the show.
