Inside Damon Lindelof’s New Movie – The Hollywood Reporter

Sources say the film project is set to be a standalone project, but if successful, it could lead to more films. This plan goes against Lucasfilm’s earlier development process, which saw the company try to come up with new trilogies. Now the studio seems to be focusing on stand-alones.

And sources say the story would be set after the events of 2019 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, although it wouldn’t be a sequel to the Skywalker saga. It could, however, feature some of the characters from the star wars trilogy made in the 2010s.
