Keke Palmer Reveals She’s Pregnant and Expecting First Baby With Boyfriend During SNL Hosting Debut

Keke Palmer is going to be a mom!

The 29-year-old actress is pregnant and expecting her first baby with boyfriend Darius Jackson, she revealed during the entertainment Saturday Night Live this weekend for the first time.

“There are rumors going around, people have said in my comments, ‘Keke is having a baby, Keke is pregnant’ and I want to set the record straight – I am!” Palmer exclaimed as she ripped off a long gray jacket to reveal her growing baby bump on stage at Studio 8H.

“I have to say, though, it’s bad when people on the internet are spreading rumors about you, but it’s even worse when they’re right. I mean, like, I was trying so hard to keep it down, because I have a lot going on, you know? she continued. “…But honestly, it’s been the biggest blessing, and I’m so excited. Guys, I’m going to be a mom.”

Palmer added, “Even though some people feel a little weird that I’m having a baby because I was a child actor, I just want to say, listen, I’m 29, I’m an adult, I have sex, I own a house, I stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, you know? Things adults do.”

Palmer has mostly kept the details of her relationship with Jackson secret. When he appeared on The Tamron Hall Show Last November, she announced that she would become “Instagram official” with Jackson, although the photos with her boyfriend are no longer on her page.

“It got harder to hide,” she said of choosing to post photos with Jackson at the time. “We spend all this time together, and he’s really my closest friend, so it just becomes a thing where I’m not going to hide something that makes me happy.”

“It won’t be all you see, my job is my job, but at the end of the day it’s someone who’s important to me, so why not,” Palmer added.

Speaking of Jackson, Palmer noted that he was “very close to the industry.”

“I’ve always been someone who didn’t want too much industry stuff in my life, he’s very close to the industry which means he understands it but it’s not that he speaks,” she explained.

That same month, the Nope The star shared a video on TikTok with Jackson in which she was holding a fan to seemingly hide her and her boyfriend kissing. “Madam miss take what she WANTS😏,” she wrote with the clip.

In March 2020, Palmer spoke to Harper’s Bazaar why she likes to keep her love life private.

“I don’t really do relationship stuff online, mostly because I don’t know how I would do it without looking cheesy or something, you know?” she said at the exit. “Yes, I’m one hundred percent authentic, but there are things I keep for my family and friends.”
