Emotions run high in the Brown family.

In this week’s episode of sister wivesKody, Christine, Meri, Janelle and Robyn sat down together for one last time where they had a brutally honest conversation about their relationships with each other and with the family.

“A year ago when I looked back at my relationship with Kody, I really felt like I couldn’t stay, but I hadn’t decided to move out yet,” Christine told the group. “I looked at our relationship, and the way I was, I thought to myself, it’s not a relationship that I would wish on any of my friends.”

Kody, 53, who has been transparent about his anger over Christine’s decision to leave, hit back with his own take on the situation.

“That’s what I remember. You cared about the family, not the man. That was your mantra,” Kody told Christine. “But it was about the man and not the family. And that’s, I think, my place of anger. That’s the reason why I fight with it because we invested and invested and invested , and it wasn’t about the family, it was about the man. And that’s my frustration and that’s also my accusation.”

He continued, “I’m angry that you didn’t want to invest in the family, but you were only interested in what I could do for you – me as a resource for you. And it breaks my heart because that now we’re at that stage where it’s just over and done.”

Last November, Christine announced on Instagram that her spiritual marriage to Kody was over. In September 2021, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, and still lives there with her 12-year-old daughter Truely. (The exes are also parents to son Paedon, 24, and daughters Aspyn, 27, Mykelti, 26, Gwendlyn, 20, and Ysabel, 19. Kody has a total of 18 children between the women.)

“Thank you for ripping the bandage off so quickly, because it was never going to work out if it was all about me, like you always indicated it wasn’t,” Kody said. .

Robyn, who expressed her sadness over Christine’s departure, held back tears during the discussion.

“It’s awkward. They’re kind of working out their relationship in front of us, but if they talk, I believe there’s always a chance for a miracle,” she said during a confessional. “People are about to get divorced and then change their minds all the time. She might say she’s divorced, but in my head, technically she’s not, so I’m like, ‘Hey well, maybe they can talk about it.”

At one point, Kody lost his temper and yelled at Christine, “Man, just the knife in the kidneys all these years! The sacrifices I’ve made to love you. Wasted!”

He later explained his outburst in a confessional interview.

“I feel like for 14 years I sucked it with her,” he said. “I was just trying to be a loving husband and now that she’s leaving, I just felt like giving her a piece of my mind with this leaving. It’s not my fault. You did that. I feel. I don’t care if it’s not right. That’s how I feel. She did that.

Although Christine admitted that her choice was difficult, she knew it was the right decision.

“I think this is one of the saddest conversations I’ve ever had,” she said. “I don’t regret leaving at all, though.”
